Call for Posters

The Call for Poster Abstracts is Now Open.
  • Deadline for abstract submission: February 22nd, 2017 - NEW DEADLINE March 8th, 2017.
  • Posters must be written in English language.
  • Each first author is allowed to submit a maximum of two posters.
  • The first author must be registered in the symposium (attendance in Barcelona).
  • There will be a maximum of 10 authors per poster.
  • The jury will be composed of three members of the Scientific Committee: a president, two members.
  • Participation implies acceptance of the bases and the decision is final.

Registration for
Controversies 2018
  • The evaluation criteria of the jury will be: originality, presentation, application, methodology and scientific relevance.
  • The awards will be in favor of the first author.
  • The award will be notified to the first autor of the poster on Saturday morning.

  • There will be no defense of the poster. The evaluation committee will review them during the course of the symposium.
Preparation of the poster:
  • Posters must be written in English language.
  • The maximum size of the poster is 120cm (high) x 90cm (width). Although some minor measures, such as DIN-A0 of 118,9cm (high) x 84,1cm (width), are accepted.
  • The poster presentation will be in vertical.
Sending the proposed poster:
  • The proposal must contain as a mandatory: authors, affiliations, emails (of each author), telephone number, keywords and abstract.
  • The abstract should have a maximum of 300 words, structured in "Objectives", "Methods", "Results" (with data already processed) and "Conclusions".
  • Send the proposal by email to poster@controversiasbarcelona.org.
  • Deadline for abstract submission: February 22nd, 2017 - NEW DEADLINE March 8th, 2017.
Poster acceptation:
  • Acceptance notification will be done before March 1st by email to the first autor.
  • For the final acceptance of the poster it is imperative that the first author has formalized the registration at the symposium.
Poster mounting:
  • Authors must have their posters hung up at 9:00 AM on Friday 21. We recommend you to display the posters on Thursday 20 between 17:00 PM and 20:00 PM. All the posters displayed after 9:00 AM of Friday 21 will be not considered.
  • Each poster accepted will have an own space labelled with its poster number. The technical secretariat will provide double-sided tape to hang all posters.
  • The authors are responsible for removing their posters themselves. Please remove the poster on Saturday 22 between 13:30 PM and 14:30 PM, after the closing ceremony. After 14:30 PM any posters left behind shall be removed and discared by the organization.
Rights and responsibilities:
  • The first author accepts full responsibility for the content, delivery and presentation of the abstract.
  • Until the poster is not accepted, the authors retain all author's rights.
  • Once the poster is accepted, the authors authorize the organization of the symposium to publish its content in any print or electronic media related to the International Symposium on Updates and Controversies in Psychiatry.
  • Authors must declare any commercial interest related to the content of their poster.
  • A poster certificate certifying that the poster has been presented at the symposium will be delivered by email to all authors.
